MEET THE DESIGN TEAM
Jeff joined the United Ortho team in June of 2012. He is responsible for the design and manufacturing concepts of the FKB. Jeff has more engineering experience in the orthopedic bracing and cold therapy areas than anyone in the field. He was solely responsible for all of the initial designs and manufacturing methods for the rigid bracing lines of both DJ and BREG.
Before joining United Ortho, Jeff was one of the founding partners and served as the Vice President of Engineering at BREG, Inc., for sixteen years, from 1989 through 2005. He was BREG's first employee and was responsible for developing their entire initial product lines, including BREG's Cold Therapy product line that set the standards for cold therapy in the industry. His unique blend of understanding the orthopedic customer's needs and an innovative engineering perspective of designing for manufacturing enabled BREG to market many first-to-the-market, state-of-the-art products.
Prior to joining BREG, Jeff was a Senior Design Engineer at DonJoy from 1982 through 1989. While at DJ, he developed the world's first off-the-shelf functional knee brace along with the industry's well-known 4-Point concept. During his tenure at DJ, as well as at BREG, Jeff amassed many patents for his unique product designs. He has an extensive knowledge in orthopedic bracing, softgoods and cold therapy. Jeff's expertise in innovative product design - including concept, prototyping, tooling and product testing - has set any company he works with ahead of the competition.
